Anyhoo, been reading the Road User's Handbook in preparation for my driving test. Some important life-saving information:

Had an impromptu stayover at Bunnybunbun's place, where we racked our brains to figure out Hunt's damn 'logic' games. It involved passing around forks - crossed or uncrossed - and it took me ages to figure out! And when it clicked, I wanted to stick them forks into my eye.

Heh heh, but we had heaps of fun. >.<

Everytime I visit a beach here, it's magical. There's that moment as your car crests that last steep stretch of road, and the ocean greets you. It glints and laughs and twinkles. It's so beautiful it makes your heart ache and your skin prickle. The blue is liquid sapphire, flowing turquoise, so alive and inviting. It's straight out of a postcard, so perfect and so idyllic that you pinch yourself making sure you're not in a dream. I love the beaches here. I wish I could capture that scene in a photo or a painting or in words more apt to describe the beauty of it all.

*sigh*

Meanwhile, back in reality, our heroine is woefully regretting falling asleep on the beach. She is not sunburnt (thank goodness), but has a very uneven tan. Her shoulders, legs and back are kinda blackish, but her middle is still disgusting and pale. She will also try to stop taking about herself in the third person...

The overnighter at Linda's was very very fun, though I realise what a lousy excuse for an Asian I am, since I don't play mahjong or Tai Ti. *Shrugs* I also don't play any video games, so the impressive array of games and consoles (every kind except for the X-Box, I think) wa of no use to me. Fell asleep at about 5am, midway through Spirited Away, and awoke to a horrific sight of someone in a compromising position with a Pooh Bear. I have pictures to prove it.

Amazingly, I am not tired... yet... though I have a feeling I might pass out midway while spamming tonight. Heh heh.

*YAWN* Hello hello. Plans for today:

1) Cook chicken curry as a celebratory meal. Kelvin finishes his Philo paper today. Poor bastard. He was up till late figuring out What Constitutes Knowledge. Empiricism, Rationalism (blah blah blah-ism). I'm so glad I'm not doing Philo. Brain would explode.

2) Go to the gym if I can. Poor butt still hurts.

3) Meet friends in town for another celebratory meal. Stay over at Linda's for mahjong and console gaming. I'm bringing my camera! Not gonna miss out on any drunken antics this time! Ho Ho Ho!

4) Go to the beach the day after! Wheeee!

Greetings from a very sore, bruised and tired girl. Ice skating was heaps fun, and I only stacked it (read: fell over) three times. The first time was on my tailbone and it totally jarred me and stirred me poor brains around. I was all woozy after that.The second time i fell forwards and landed on my knees. The third doesn't really count, cos some fat bearded Jewish guy bumped into me and made me land on my ass again. For the total nincompoop that I am, it was really a very good first attempt! I actually managed to slide on the ice and not shuffle around like a geriatric pengiun with a hernia. *beams*

Then we went bowling! It was quite shocking for some of them to find out I have never been bowling (or ice skating, or cycling, roller blading, or basically anything that constitutes fun and games). Hey, I'm like Uber Nerd and supremely uncoordinated! Anyhoo, I didn't get a bad score! I got an even 50 and that wasn't the lowest score either!

My wrist is sprained, my knees are bruised and I'll have to sit with caution for the next few days or so... but today was really fun.

The weirdest thing that happened today was when a whole party of Jewish people came in and they cranked up the music. I never thought I'd hear covers of Craig David and Shaggy done in Hebrew. *LOL*

The Ring was okay... it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and some parts were a mite creepier than the Jap version. At least I managed to sleep last night, unlike the sleeplessness I suffered for a week (7 days *haunting whisper*) when I watched the Jap version with the gang. I remember Ju and I all huddled up in a corner while the 10 guys yelled "FUCK! FUCK FUCK!" during the scary bits. *giggles*

At the end, my lecturer got everyone who gave answers to stand up and they voted for the winner. It was a toss up between this very funny (and flagrantly gay) guy and me. He got more votes, even though my classmates were really sweet in yelling my name very loud. It was hysterical... he squeaked, "Too bad! I win!" and went to collect his prize Oscar fashion. But since he wasn't interested in the book, he gave it to me at the end of class. So I am now the proud owner of Beautiful Exile, the life of Martha Gellhorn, one of the most famous female journalists. She was married to Hemingway, had an affair with HG Wells and did war reporting with George Orwell. Cool huh!

And I didn't know I had so many fans *blush*
