Rainy Day Girl

Sad as a story, my rainy day girl Sat on her hands in a saccharine world

It occurs to me that laziness is a really tricky thing. It creeps up on you slowly and the next thing you know, it's taken over your limbs and mind and dulled the senses and rotted the brain.

Got to watch that.

Ever since I came back from Sydney, things have been sliding. For shame! One year ago, I would have been doing something productive right about now: reading, studying, exercising, cooking, cleaning or getting a well deserved rest.

I spend too much time on the idiotbox watching inane comedies or sitcoms, lounge around or run laps in Ironforge from Auction House to Mailbox (all while sitting on my arse too). I haven't done any cardio or weights for months now. It's getting worse now that I've stopped work because I really don't have a good excuse anymore (Desperate Housewives doesn't count). I think it's time to buck up and do something more productive with my time.

Granted my room's in pretty good shape with the many spring cleanings it's had in the past six months... but one can clean a room only so many times...

Make-over magick

Tah-dah! How'dya like the *new* look? It took a friggin 2 plus hours to accomplish and the "please work please work" mantra.

I'm not quite satisfied... the tagboard colours are grotesque!

I miss my purple webby, especially now after I've redone my room in two shades of purple similar to my old blog colour.

I've been making myself useful, painting and spring cleaning my room and reshelving my books. I've finally thrown away the notes, syllabus and all from Poly days - including old essays hoarded away like the compulsive hamster that I am. I have only one file, albeit a large one full of readings from honours year. I'm allowing myself to keep those notes in case I ever do a masters.

Been trooping to the hospital weekly to settle tests and such. Am still not ready for dialysis - my wee vein is still too small to be cannulated. So I give it a month or so till I'm ready.

RE: the NKF Saga, I think it's about time that they 'fessed up and restructure the organisation. It peeves the shit out of me that they've gotten away with their excesses for so long and that no one's thought to question their donation schemes till now!

Hmmpfh!

Okay fellas, clean slate, new template. And more conscientious updating. The drought of the last months due to couldn't-be-fuckedness is over - for now.

It'll take some time for all the fancy-schmancy things to go up again due to utter and complete memory loss of how to insert them again. Don't even know how I did it in the first place T_T

I'm on hiatus. N O. M O R E. W O R K. for the time being (celebrate) Life now revolves around:

1) Waiting for dialysis to start
2) Waiting for transplant to come through
3) WOWage
4) Sudoku
5) Crosswords
6) Painting my room

Not necessarily in that order.
