2'fer one speschul
It being my last day of dialysis and all at NKF Simei, I got me a bonus needling. Not one, but two extra holes in my arm!
Something went wrong with the veneous pressure in the top needle site, and when the nurse tried to wriggle the needle around to get a better position, the pressure got so bad I thought me arm was gonna fall off from the intense throbbing. So they needled a brand new one right up my arm, much higher than they have usually done. But the vein was too short and too thin. So they made another hole between the first two sites. OMFG THE PAIN! It went right up my arm all the way to my chest.
My arm is now decorated with FOUR bandaids, and the topmost wound has bled through to form a scarlet Rosarch impression promising a black and blue arm for the next few weeks.
Haha, buy one get one free!

***Latest: New patch and upgrade scheduled on 30 Nov 2005.***
Looks like I'll be new and improved by X'mas... if everything goes to plan. Got the call yesterday that they have a slot at the end of the month. It means one and a half months of dialysis time, money and pain saved. Also that I'll be able to start work earlier next year. It also works out well for my brother, who won't have to disrupt any school days for the operation.
It's such a relief to finally be able to move on. :) I'm the luckiest girlie alive!
